Re: When is it too warm for wetsuits

I have the same problem: during 1 week, we have 35-40°C  It's imposible to put on wetsuit , even with water behind. Eek, 35-40 degrees is brutal. I can't put on a wetsuit in that either and have to settle for rash shirt and boardshorts. Even the water is like a spa. Good to hear it's cooler. ...

When is it too warm for wetsuits

With warm temperatures common lately in many parts of the world (even in my hometown - a few 26-27 degree days in winter!), how warm does it get to be intolerable for wetsuits? Obviously, it depends on the suit and if it's wet or dry. For me, around 25 degrees it gets too warm to stay dry for long. ...

Re: Wetsuits you're currently lusting after.

This makes me bring a question, Rubberknite is still doing business doing those modifications?, probably i'll buy some HUUB/Orca wetsuits and i wish to modify it for crotch zippers, it's pretty unknown where i can modify it, and cutting neoprene with normal scissors can damage the neoprene ever fur...

Re: Wetsuits you're currently lusting after.

Is the "tube" attached to the suit?

Reminds me of this suit I saw years ago. It also has a "tube".

Re: Wetsuits stuck at the wrists and ankles

I've always peeled my full wetsuits off and they end up inside out, so it's not new. Only problem is they don't slide easily over my hands or feet (probably because mine are big!). Smooth wetsuits do get slippery when wet, but opposite is true for surf suits (especially chest zips). A bag helps, but...

Wetsuits stuck at the wrists and ankles

I can get a full wetsuit on without too much trouble (using a plastic bag to slide it on), but getting it off is a lot harder. Wrists are a little difficult, but I always struggle bigtime at the ankles, especially when the suit is wet. I found I need a bag over my foot to get it off (works for a sur...

Re: wetsuit play fights

I remember those James Bond underwater fight scenes too. I liked the black rubber scuba gear (especially James Bond in it!), but the action was a bit scary and tense to watch. Imagine my relief when Bond fought off his enemies and made it out alive (still suited up)! These days, I'll have some frien...

Re: Wetsuits you're currently lusting after.

I quite like thin onepiece freediving wetsuits like the Omer W5 below. Only 1.5mm and flexible! But stores here don't have them so no trying on to find my size. :(

Looks like a great suit, but knowing Orcas, it's a bit small for me.

As much as I'd like to meet up, he's normally in New South Wales Central Coast, unless he's travelling.

Fun indeed! Looking forward to hearing more adventures. The DHB wetsuit looks great - shiny and rubbery. I had one briefly but didn't fit.

Re: Wetsuits you're currently lusting after.

It's really up to you. Different? Yes. Discrete? Somewhat. Could probably work at a fancy dress party, but a tight jumpsuit might raise eyebrows. Unless you're actually wearing it in the water, there are other costumes that are cheaper and look similar (just not a wetsuit). Even the shoes look like ...

Re: Thin full wetsuits

Fit and comfort is a personal thing, as I realised today. A local dive shop had the Beuchat Zento (pic below), so I went to try one out. The thinner 2mm smooth neoprene felt supple and a little easier to put on. Basically it was like a thin triathlon suit without the bulk. Unfortunately it didn't fi...
