Swimming speedsuits
Swimming speedsuits
Who here loved the special speedsuits made famous during the Olympics and professional comps during 2000-2009, before FINA banned them? For me it was a very good reason to watch the swimming on TV! Who would forget Ian Thorpe's suit? Some coverage for once instead of skimpy speedos, but sadly we're back to that or jammers.

Are you talking about this suit?...

These are really tight. I tried one once. It took ages to get on even though it was the right size.

The LZR was probably the most famous of the body suits. It was actually quite sheer and easy to see through with the exception of the screen printed panels.

Its was not the only suit of its type and the other makes were also banned by FINA, including a rather nice one by Arena.

I too would buy one if they weren't almost $1,000!!! Obviously if I won the lottery or got a jackpot at a casino, that would be a different story but as that has yet to happen IDK what to do Q_Qkinkygaynerd wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 6:01 am I'd love one but they are super expensive, and I already have too much gear I want

Seems to be moving away from one piece types these days. Around that time Under Armour had that one piece recharge suit? Now everything is like 2 piece top or bottom.
Yes, those really tight suits, like the one Ian Thorpe wore, the ones people said made him like a seal? XD
Those full suits are slick as.
