Thanks Gordon.

It looks nice! Did you get matching gloves and boots too?

I just went out today in my full kit. A few people asked if I rode a motorbike.

Did just go out a walk in your full kit or something then?

It was cold and rainy outside so I went out in my black leather jacket, black tshirt, black leather pants, tall harness boots and gloves to stay dry. Caught the bus downtown to visit a few touristy places. A few people asked if I rode a motorbike. Usually I say, "no, I just look like I do", "no, I just like the leather", "no, it's just a costume", or "it's cold and raining outside". I've yet to see anyone get nasty over my answers.

I've been out leathered up lots of times, and it's quite ok on the street or in casual places. Lots of other motorbike riders walk around in their gear, sometimes carrying their helmet. Just don't put it on your head (that would look silly and suspicious).

On public transport, I might get a few looks, but no-one said anything, so it doesn't worry me.

There is one potential downside. If you walk around a lot, the boots might get uncomfortable. They're probably not designed for that.

So there you have it. Wearing leather in public is not so bad after all. Just enjoy the incredible feeling of head to toe leather. Soft on the inside, but shiny and tough on the outside, like armour. If your boots are waterproof (like mine), add an umbrella and rain is no problem - I was completely warm and dry.

I have a helmet already, but no boots and gloves yet unfortunally. I'm going to get those in the near future. It was kinda an impulsive buy, coz the bikeshop had a big sale. I hope next month to be able to get in the full gear.

I actually bought it because I want to ride a bike, but walking outside in it just for fun sounds pretty cool as well.

Looks good so far, but feels much better once you have the boots and gloves. Makes riding much more comfortable and safer too, when everything sits perfectly on the bike. I rode pillion once on a Harley Davidson. The boots worked a treat, but not having gloves at the time meant my hands got way too slippery and dangerous!

No worries. I wasn't considering riding a bike without the boots and gloves. Safety first, and it just looks so much better. I was just showing my suit to you guys, and hope you'd like the suit as much as I do ;-)
