Zipperless suit

Post by gayspeedoteen » Sat Apr 04, 2009 2:25 pm

Anyone out there ever tried a zipperless suit???

I've been wanting to try one for a while but haven't been able to find one yet???

Quick question. How do you get in and out and how difficult is it???

I have one made by O'Neill, which is a few years old now. But it is very difficult to get into and EXTREMELY difficult to get out of.

There were some about a couple of years ago I actually tried one on in a shop, but it was a nightmare to get out of especially if you are hot and sweety! :D Basically the one I tried you stretched the neck seal to the point that you could squeeze through it. I think they stopped making them because of problems with them splitting as they got older.

The only zipperless wetsuit I am aware of are those made for freediving. Search for Beuchat Reversible, Mares Instrinct, Eliossub, or Cressi Competition 2. These suits are two-pieces. Its difficult to get in and out, in particular since some of them do not have lining at the inside, but open-cell neoprene instead. Divers wet them with soap water or something similar in order to get in.

Try the two piece spearfishing suits from www.eliossub.com and www.topsub.it. Getting into a one piece steamer type wetsuit through the neck opening would be hard work. www.Skintightrubber.com do a latex one piece neck entry suit although you could not really use it as a wetsuit as it would be too thin. Just depends what you want to use the suit for

I've tried one on that's made by billabong. It was very hard to get in and out of especially since it was a size smaller.

I have one, and I have the same problem :P
But it's more extremly when your suit is a 6/5, and a smaller size than you need, and you are trying it for the first time, alone at home

I was about 20 mins pulling out the suit.

After that, it was soaked on sweat
