Movie/TV costumes

Post by surfydude » Sun May 20, 2018 12:09 pm

I wonder if there are others here that show interest in movie/TV costumes, the kind that encloses the actor completely and often tight fitting. Not just Spiderman, but many others like the Green Goblin, Venom, Batman, Mr Freeze, Superman, Flash, Alien (Xenomorph), Predator, Power Rangers, XMen, Darth Vader, etc. When I was a kid, I remember watching TV and sometimes thinking I want to be that guy or I want to be in that suit! I still have that feeling today, but with different characters. To my amazement, there is actually a huge community of fans dedicated to making costumes and/or dressing up in them.

The Xenomorph from the Alien movies is one character I'd love to get suited up in (because it fits like a wetsuit), but not an easy costume to find or make!

Anyone here feel this way?

I have the same indeed. My favorite is and was Spiderman, but also Storm Troopers or something like the ape costumes from Planet of the Apes.

Another thing I really like are the uniforms or suits you can give to characters in games. Especially the ones in Mass Effect or Alpha Protocol.

Ah yes! I liked Storm Troopers and Chewabacca too. I also like armoured characters in movies and video games - Warhammer 40k, Halo's Master Chief, Tesla Troopers from Red Alert, Iron Man, Drivesuits from Pacific Rim and Transformers. The power and strength of their suits just awes me.

I'm lucky enough to know people who dress up as such, and it's such a blast to be standing next to a real-life superhero! Unfortunately, I haven't quite met anyone who plays aliens or other rubbery creatures, yet alone squeeze into one of their suits. I can only imagine what it's like to be inside!

At the moment I'm looking to get myself a Captain America cosplay, just to visit Comic Cons in style. And I'm really liking this one: Image

So maybe in the near future I'm a leathery Captain

Both are pretty cool, and quite popular at comic cons. I just like Deadpool a bit more because anyone can be concealed under that mask, and it's all part of the mystery! Spawn is another character I like for the same reason.

I think Gordon should get the Deadpool costume, leather looking superhero outfit with hood.
He would look well hot in that! :) :)

Flash is nice, but Gordon, you have the poses for Deadpool! You know, all the quirky ones.

I’m quite surprised at that Gordon, I thought that would be right up your street what with your interest
in the leather look as well as superhero outfits! :)

With motorcycle leathers it's the whole look, with the boots, gloves and helmet! Even just a hot lad walking around holding a helmet can turn me on!!

Then how about characters in motorcycle leathers? Like:

-Terminator 2
-Ghost Rider
-Mad Max 2
-Negan from Walking Dead
-Tron
-Cyclops or Wolverine from Xmen

Or this Batman suit?
