Slicking up

Post by surfydude » Sun Sep 16, 2018 12:56 pm

I've seen this ages ago, but has anyone tried slicking up suits with silicone lube (or similar) like this guy? The results look incredibly shiny. Much slicker than unlubricated smoothskin and different from wet nylon suits.

I tried a drop of Pjur on my smoothskin gloves and it appears shiny and feels very slippery. It didn't darken the colour much though.

They certainly look well horny when shined up, and lovely and slippery to feel, I think you would be alright with pjur on your smoothskin wetsuit as it is waterbased and will not destroy the neoprene. I have used this before and have not had any problems. I think if you use any type of silicon oil or mineral based lubes with oil in then this will certainly attack the neoprene rubber.
